Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience. —Emerson
In Ayurveda, spring is the season of warmth, softness and moisture. It's time to take off your coat, go walk outside and see your surroundings with new eyes. Practice an old spring tradition or start a new one. In my practice, I ask people "What's one thing you love about your life and what's one thing you'd like to change?" This season, here are some "one things" to help you appreciate, shed and renew:
One Gift of the Season ~ Warmth
One Practice ~ Consider exfoliating to shed your old skin, then give yourself some new moisture, in the form of a lotion or cream—or go all out and give yourself a warm, ayurvedic oil massage. Be sure to look at your skin and talk to your body, sending it loving messages as you apply the oil or lotion. ^_^
One Reflection ~ What thought, belief or behavior do you want to shed this spring, and what new thought or insight are you ready to warm up to?
Feel to Heal
I was coached by Jesus (who I call JC) that we have to "feel to heal." Learning to converse with my body has led to what is now a cornerstone of my work: body knows best!
I wrote about the day that this became crystal clear on my blog...
